A Book On Ekiti Core Values for Presentation

A book centered on restoration of core values of Ekiti people, titled Ekiti State: Beyond Politics and Propaganda, restoration of Ekiti Core Values for Genuine Development and Socioeconomic Transformation of the State-a collection of articles thoughts and ideas, is set for public presentation on Saturday, November 23. in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.

According to the editor of the book, a prolific writer, author, and socioeconomic development strategist, Adesina Adetola, the book, second in the series, is a community development effort and an intellectual assignment that is very unique in its own right. Not just because of its significance in the face of the societal decadence that dominates this contemporary age, but also its importance in redirecting the path of the people and repositioning the society for a greater future.

The book, a collection of ideas and thoughts of selected distinguished and eminent individuals from the state which cut across diverse walks of life, such as academics and university dons, research scholar, a former deputy governor and frontline educationist, international diplomat and an Officer of Order of the Niger, accomplished entrepreneurs, legal luminary, politicians of repute, corporate technocrats, seasoned banker, community development strategists and organisers, award-winning journalist, prolific writers and versatile authors, as well as exemplary student and youth leaders, is a cohesive submission that have gone a long way to appraise the current situation, establish the dearth of the core values that were once dear to the people and consequently suggest formidable ways that the core values can be restored to guarantee genuine development and socio-economic transformation of the state.

Expected at the presentation which will be chaired by the chairperson, National Board for Technical Education and a former Deputy Governor of the state, Professor Modupe Adelabu, are top government functionaries, private individuals, stakeholders and opinion leaders from the state which include the governor of the state, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and his wife Erelu Bisi Fayemi.
