President Muhammadu Buhari has again stressed that his administration will use the nation’s resources judiciously to build public infrastructure.

The President made this promise this Wednesday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja during the Christmas Homage by the residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja led by the Minister, Mallam Bello Mohammed.

An elated President Buhari thanked Nigerians and FCT residents for their support and visit at this period.

But he regretted that dwindling oil revenue and mismanagement of the nation’s resources by past regimes have slowed down the pace of development of the FCT and the country.

President Buhari stressed that if the infrastructure is fixed, Nigerians will be comfortable just as urged the FCT Minister and his delegation to always interface with their constituents and to highlight the efforts of his administration to improve the lot of Nigerians.

In a welcome remark, leader of the delegation and FCT Minister, Bello said residents have every course to be thankful for the outgoing year, especially with the 2019 general elections and the passage of the 2020 budget in record time.
He stressed that the government will work to improve security as well as infrastructure in the FCT.

Other members of the delegation are Senator representing FCT, Senator Philip Aduda; Anglican Archbishop of Abuja and Primate of All Nigeria, Rt. Rvd. Nicholas Okoh; his Muslim counterpart, Dr. Mohammed Kabir, Imam of the national mosque; Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio and Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Paulin Tallen among others.

The delegation including members of the State House Press Corps later shook hands with President Buhari in the spirit of the season.
