Former Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba has congratulated the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in last weekend’s rerun election, Dr. Alex Egbona over his victory at the polls.
In the congratulatory press release signed by Senator Ndoma-Egba, he noted that the victory of the APC’s candidate at the election is a clear expression of the fact that the people of Yakurr/Abi Federal Constituency have laid a sound foundation for future success of the party in Cross River State.
“Your people of Ekureku especially have demonstrated that indeed power resides with the people by overwhelmingly voting for you leading to your victory.
“I have no doubt in my mind that you are capable of delivering on the expectations of your constituents as you re-take your seat in the House of Representatives. You possess the passion, experience, disposition, and sagacity to satisfactorily represent the good people of Yakurr/Abi Federal Constituency.”
The former Senate Leader also noted that by being the only elected official of the APC in Cross River State, there are high expectations on Dr. Egbona to reposition the party.
“You are the only elected official produced by our Party, the APC in Cross River State. That places on you a special mention in the annals of our political history.
“It also puts a special and enormous responsibility on you to be an integral part of all genuine efforts to reposition the party in Cross River State for greater outcomes.”
The statement further admonishes Hon. Egbona to excel as a federal lawmaker not only for the people of Yakurr/Abi constituency but the whole of Cross River State.
