Mrs Dolapo Dosunmu, the Director of National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Oyo State, has urged Nigerians not to see the 2020 Easter celebration as a time for merry-making, but a time for sober reflection on the significance of the season.
Dosunmu made the call in a statement in Ibadan on Saturday while felicitating with residents of Oyo State as they celebrate the Easter amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The director enjoined Nigerians to put into practice the lesson of Easter.
She also urged citizens to emulate Jesus Christ by showing love and sacrifice to one another and advise them against stigmatizing those who have survived and won the battle against the Coronavirus disease.
She further implored residents to maintain healthy hygiene and observe all precautionary measures listed by the World Health Organisation to curtail the spread of the disease.
