As part of its resolve to cushion the biting effects of the Corona Virus Pandemic, Nigeria’s foremost Real Estate Development Company, Boing Luxury Estates last week presented some foodstuffs and other materials to 6 communities and some families in Port Harcourt and farmers and other indigent stakeholders at Apo and Garki, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

In Port Harcourt, items which include bags of rice, bags of Semolina, pack of noodles, packs of seasoning cubes, and salt were presented to the Omagwa community; with other sub-communities of Omuwena, Omuchukwuogo, Omadowana, Agwanawa community. Also, gift items were presented to the Omuchiorlu and Omuokiri communities, Aluu town in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.

While stating the reasons behind this kind gesture, the CEO, Boing Luxury Estate, Mr. Ory Martins stated that the company as a responsible corporate entity feels concerned about the plight of the people at this period of the nationwide lockdown. “we know that the people cannot move around freely because of this pandemic, therefore, we took it upon ourselves to assist the people of these communities in any little way we could by providing the palliatives items to complement what the government is given out” he maintained.

The beneficiaries of this initiative could not hide their joy as they expressed their gratitude to the company in an emotionally laden tone. His Royal Majesty, Eze Sylvanus Okpara, The Royal Highness and Nyewelli of Aluu Kingdom, Rivers State, stated thus “on behalf of myself and my community, I want to thank Boing Luxury Estates for this wonderful provision for my community. You people have done what the Federal Government of Nigeria has not been able to do. The items provided went round the widows, aged women, and all the family of the community. I appreciate you people. God will bless you” he enthused. The ESU of Apo District, Chief John Jika Inji the Dakachi of Apo, who also received the items, conveyed his heartfelt gratitude of the Chief to the company for this life –saving gesture. “Since this pandemic has started, means of moving about looking for food have been difficult. So, for any company to take it upon itself to give out freely at this time, it is commendable”.
So far, over five hundred families and households in Rivers State and Abuja have benefited from this kind of gestures by Boing Luxury Estates.

At the beginning of the lockdown, Boing had sensitized its stakeholders on the need to stay safe and adopt some protective measures, use of hand sanitizers, wear facial masks, maintain social distancing and stay productive.
The company has also procured cartons of face mask ready to be distributed to clients, host communities, staff, and all stakeholders in and around the area of her operations.
