The House of Representatives has demonstrated its unwavering confidence in Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, appointing him as the chairman of the House Committee on Constitution Review. Tasked with the crucial responsibility of overseeing proposals and agitations for amendments to the 1999 constitution, Kalu and his team of seasoned lawmakers are poised to embark on a significant legislative endeavor.
Amidst growing calls for constitutional reforms to align with contemporary needs, the House’s decision to entrust Kalu with this pivotal role underscores their commitment to addressing longstanding grievances and ensuring that the constitution reflects the aspirations of Nigerians in the 21st century.
