The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) on Sunday said that two bodies had been recovered from the explosion site of a Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) pipeline at the Ile Epo axis of Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State. The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Kogi office, has sealed three petrol filling stations for adjusting their pumps to dispense fuel below the approved quantity. Mr Idris Mohammad, Controller Operations, Kogi Field Office of DPR, who led a team of operatives and men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) during the raid, said the filling stations were defrauding unsuspecting customers. The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KDIRS) has honoured 15 taxpayers for the timely filing of their tax returns. Dr Zaid Abubakar, the Chairman of the agency, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna on Sunday that the recognition was part of strategies to encourage taxpayers’ voluntary compliance. By Tony Obiechina, Abuja Nigerian Government plans to borrow about N1.5 trillion this year to enable it to finance some key projects including roads as provided for in the 2020 Appropriation Acts. This amount, according to the Director-General of the Debt Management Office (DMO), Ms Patience Oliha comprises N850 billion and N744.99 billion for External and Domestic Borrowings respectively.
