A Federal Capital Territory High Court has granted the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), 14 days to detain former Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Mr Mohammed Adoke, to complete investigation. The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has intensified patrol, joint operations and raid of black spots to ensure hitch-free Yuletide in the territory. The Commissioner of Police (CP) in charge of the command, Mr Bala Ciroma disclosed this at a news conference in Abuja. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun on Friday said that 338 lives were lost in road accidents across the state from January till date. Ogun FRSC Sector Commander, Clement Oladele, disclosed this in Abeokuta at a one-day seminar on road safety during the festive period, organized by Ogun Caretaker Committee on Transportation in conjunction with Tunes Communications Ltd. The Supreme Court on Friday, voided the candidature of Uche Nwosu as the governorship flag bearer of the Action Alliance (AA) in the 2019 general elections in Imo, over double nomination. The apex court, in its judgment delivered by Justice Adamu Augie, upheld the judgment of the Court of Appeal, Abuja Division.
