A statement from FIRS said the amount is 77.89 billion above the N3.941 trillion collected between January-September 2018. According to the statenent, though the amount collected represents 60.77 trillion of the N8. 8 trillion target of the FIRS for 2019, Fowler is optimistic that FIRS will do better than the N5.3 trillion it collected last year. Gov. Gboyega Oyetola of Osun on Thursday inaugurated his cabinet, almost a year after he was sworn-in as the governor. The National Judicial Council (NJC) on Thursday recommended four Justices of the Court of Appeal to President Muhammadu Buhari for appointment as justices of the apex court. President Muhammadu Buhari’s ‘’rice revolution’’ is laudable. Before the ‘’crop rebellion’’, Nigeria spent about $1.65 billion annually importing rice from Thailand and India. But the country is not yet home and dry in food production. National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has decried the lack of commitment to standard by members of Association of Master Bakers and Caterers of Nigeria (AMBCN) in bread making. The NAFDAC Director General, Prof. Moji Adeyeye, disclosed this on Wednesday in Abuja at a one-day sensitisation workshop for bread producers in FCT. Two Benineses who allegedly stole their employer’s jewelry and property worth N38 million on Wednesday appeared in an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court. The police charged Felix Hounpkevi, a cook and Hyppolyte Todeho, domestic servant with conspiracy, intent to commit felony and theft. They pleaded not guilty. The Prosecution Counsel, Insp. The Nigerian Army Corps of Artillery (NACA) says it will begin a Field Training Exercise, nicknamed “EX VULCAN GLOW VII’’, from Oct. 28 in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
