The Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Elvert Ekom Ayambem has been impeached.
The Speaker was impeached by 17 members of the House during Wednesday’s plenary over allegations of misappropriation of funds.
The impeachment motion was moved by Effiom Ekarika, who represents Calabar South 1 Constituency.
