Nollywood actress and entrepreneur, Lizzy Anjorin, has found herself embroiled in a controversy following allegations that she paid for gold jewellery with a fraudulent money transfer at Idumota market on Lagos Island.

A video circulating on social media depicts the actress, donning a nose mask and appearing distressed, being interrogated by a group of individuals.

In response, Lizzy Anjorin took to social media to share her side of the story in a video, recounting how she purchased clothing accessories worth N90,000 from a business establishment in Idumota Market last November. She explained that she promptly contacted her husband to transfer the funds to the seller’s account.

Initially, the shop owner claimed not to have received the payment, but later acknowledged its receipt. However, during a subsequent visit to the shop, the businessman confronted Lizzy Anjorin, alleging that the money for her latest transaction had not been received.

The actress clarified that she was in the process of resolving the issue when the shop owner escalated the matter, resulting in her apprehension and accusations of fraudulent bank transfer.

Denying any wrongdoing, Lizzy Anjorin asserted her innocence and expressed her commitment to rectifying the misunderstanding. She emphasized her willingness to cooperate with authorities to resolve the situation amicably.
