Oyo State Government says it has concluded arrangements to fumigate markets spread across the state. Prof. Temitope Alonge, Acting Chairman of the state COVID-19 Task Force, said in a statement that the exact date of the exercise would be communicated through the heads of markets. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has explained the circumstances of the reported COVID-19 infected individual at an apartment in the NNPC Estate in the Garki area of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT. The World Health Organisation (WHO) Regional Office for Africa in Brazzaville, Congo, has inaugurated online training for Coronavirus (COVID-19) responders amid increasing lockdowns in Africa. The Ogun Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) said on Saturday that it had penetrated the riverine areas of the state, to ensure full compliance with the lockdown order to check the spread of Coronavirus. The Public Relations Officer of the Command, Dyke Ogbonnaya, said this in a statement he issued in Abeokuta. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ondo State Command says it has deployed no fewer than 500 personnel around the borders of the state following the government’s decision to close them.
