The Oyo State Government says it has not recorded a confirmed case of coronavirus in the state. Dr Bashir Bello, the state’s Commissioner for Health, said this on Thursday while updating newsmen in Ibadan on coronavirus in Nigeria. A Federal High Court sitting in Kano on Wednesday fixed March 23, for the continuation of hearing in the suit filed by the deposed Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, seeking an order restraining the Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) from investigating him. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ilorin Zonal Office, has arrested 13 persons over their alleged involvement in offences bordering on Internet fraud and other fraud-related offences. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) says it has reached concrete proposals with the Federal Government on the ongoing warning strike embarked upon by the union. Mr Biodun Ogunyemi, ASUU President said this in Abuja while addressing newsmen at the end of a closed-door reconciliatory meeting at the Ministry of Labour and Employment. President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday presided over the meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) where a minute silence was observed in honour of victims of Sunday’s Lagos explosion. Nigeria has placed restriction on travelers from 13 major countries affected by the coronavirus, according to Mr Boss Mustapha, Secretary to Government of the Federation. Mustapha announced the placement of the restriction at a news conference in Abuja on Wednesday.
