The Federal Government (FG) has completed and handed over a 1.35km road, undertaken as part of measures toward improving infrastructure in tertiary schools, to the authorities of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti (FUOYE). Delta Airlines on Tuesday announced its plans to reduce its flight operations’ capacity by 15 per cent following the spread of Coronavirus to the country. The airline’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Ed Bastian, stated this in a statement he issued in Lagos. Bastain said that since the World Health Organisation’s declaration of the virus as a pandemic, it had led to a decline in demands across all entities. Cross River owned Calabar Garment factory has procured an order for the production of 8,000 pairs of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) uniforms. The Nigeria High Commission in Ottawa, Canada, has suspended passport application processing to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in its community. The Commissioner for Finance in Abia, Mr Aham Uko, says the state is putting pragmatic measures in place to offset a whooping N21 billion pension arrears. Some federal civil servants in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), have decried the continued arbitrary deductions from their salaries by the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) for no reason. They expressed their grievances over the irregularities in salary payment in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Tuesday, describing it as a fraud.
