Justice Lewis Allagoa of the Federal High Court in Kano, Thursday, set aside a ruling of the FCT High Court suspending Mr. Adams Oshiomhole as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Consequently, the Judge directed the Police and the Secret Police, DSS to provide adequate security for Mr. Oshiomhole in his capacity as APC National Chairman. The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), has sought the support and partnership of the media in preventing the outbreak of Lassa fever and coronavirus in the country. The Ekiti Head of Operations of NEMA, Mr Olusegun Afolayan, who made the call at a stakeholder meeting in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday, called on residents to refrain from activities capable of causing disasters in the state. ITF trains 200,000 youths in 8 years – DG
The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) on Thursday said that it had in the last eight years exposed about 200, 000 youths to different employability and entrepreneurial skills. ITF’s Director-General, Mr Joseph Ari, said this at the graduation ceremony of the 2019 National Industrial Skills Development Programme (NISDP), in Awka. Ari said that the NISDP was the fund’s intervention programme to facilitate the Federal Government’s policy on wealth and job creation. An Oyo State High Court in Ibadan has admitted Hon. Ogundiran Israel, a former Chairman of Surulere North Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Ogbomoso to N10 million bail with two sureties in like sum. Prof Mahmood Yakubu, Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has called on the National Assembly to hasten the passage of the Bill for an Act to establish the National Electoral offences Commission. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Thursday disclosed that he was forced to make adjustments to his 83rd birthday programme because of the outbreak of the coronavirus which had spread across the world. Obasanjo made the disclosure in Abeokuta while speaking at a symposium organized to celebrate his 83rd birthday.
