Environmental Rights Action/Friends of the Earth Nigeria (ERA/FoEN) has called on Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) to halt oil spills caused by leaks on its pipeline at Taylor Creek oilfields in Bayelsa. ERA/FoEN said that site visits to the impacted area by its field monitors in October 2019 showed that the leak as a result of vandalism which occurred around September 2019. The Federal Government says it will spend N12.5 billion on Transforming Irrigation Management In Nigeria (TRIMING) in Gombe State and some parts of Borno. The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna State Council, on Monday, commiserated with the management of Freedom Radio Kaduna over Sunday’s fire incident that destroyed offices and other valuables in the station. FG inaugurates 1.8 km road in FUTA
The Federal Ministry of Works and Housing on Monday inaugurated a 1.8 kilometer road is constructed in the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA). Mr Babatunde Fashola, Minister of Works and Housing, while handing over the road to the university authorities, said that the project was an intervention programme by the ministry. Gov. Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State said on Monday that his administration would not negotiate with bandits or grant them amnesty. The governor also apologized for his administration’s inability to protect the people.
