Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno was in Diffa, Niger Republic on Saturday, where he met about 120,000 refugees, who mostly hailed from local governments in the northern part of Borno state. The refugees made up of men, women and children who fled from hundreds of communities attacked by Boko Haram insurgents since 2014. The Police in Katsina State has confirmed 30 persons killed by bandits in Batsari Local Government Area of the state. The Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO) Gambo Isah, who confirmed the incident on Saturday, said that the victims were killed in Tsauwa and Dankar villages in the area.
