The government of Oyo State has approved the revocation of some plots of land located within the Agodi Government Reservation Area (GRA) and Jericho axes of Ibadan, the state capital. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) impounded 2, 458 vehicles for various traffic offences in January as against 1,597 vehicles it impounded in December 2019. The General Manager of the agency, Mr Olajide Oduyoye, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Lagos that the figure was 861 higher than that of December. The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has blamed the prevailing flight delays and cancellations experienced by air travelers across airports in the country on the adverse weather situations. The NCAA, General Manager, Public Relations, Mr Samuel Adurogboye, however, appeal in a statement issued in Lagos on Thursday to travelers to understand the situation. The Kaduna State Environmental Protection Authority (KEPA), said it evacuated 90,000 tonnes of refuse in 2019. The Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), on Wednesday, said its Global forecast market demand for oil would grow more slowly than expected in 2020 because of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. The revision comes as OPEC and 10 additional oil producers led by Russia are mulling to take a further output cut in reaction to the outbreak at their meeting on March, 2019, in Vienna.
