Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC) has urged the National Assembly to strengthen its legislative oversight on defence in order to restore integrity, reduce leakages and promote accountability in the defence and security sector. The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) has stressed the need for the development of the solid mineral sector to boost revenue generation to the federation’s account. President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday disclosed that a new Board for the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) will be constituted and sent to the National Assembly for confirmation. The disclosure was contained in a letter addressed to the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, and dated December 23, 2019.
