The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Thursday that 21 ships laden with petroleum products, food items, and other goods had arrived Lagos Port Complex, waiting to berth. NPA made this known in its publication, `Shipping Position’, a copy of which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos. It said that the ships were carrying containers, bulk wheat, petrol, and container. Media Rights Agenda (MRA) today called on the Kano State Government to discontinue its move to establish a committee to address alleged professional misconduct and abuse of privilege by media organizations in the State, describing it as an unwarranted and politically motivated effort to restrict media freedom.
