The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Monday that 18 ships were discharging general cargo, containers, buckwheat, bulk sugar, petrol, and base oil at the Lagos ports. The NPA made this known in its publication, `Shipping Position’, a copy of which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos. The Joint Task Force (JFT), code-named Operation Delta Safe, and the Nigerian Navy on Monday visited former President Goodluck Jonathan’s residence in Otuoke, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa. The government says it is studying the situation on change of West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) currency, Eco, to be used as ECOWAS single currency. The Zamfara Government says it has uncovered a 119-year-old (name withheld) on its payroll while trying to sanitize its wage bill.
