The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Plateau Command, has assured the public of free vehicular movement during the yuletide. An alleged cultist, Kayode Abe, was on Monday brought before an Ebute Meta Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly shooting a man dead. Abe, 29, was charged on three counts of conspiracy, murder and belonging to an unlawful society. Earlier, the Prosecutor, Insp. Police in Niger have confirmed that gunmen killed two people in Kawure village of Shiroro Local Government Area of the state on Sunday. The Commissioner of Police, Mr Adamu Usman, said that the gunmen came on more than 15 motorcycles to attack the village at about 8 a.m. “An old man, Gajere of about 65 years, a market chief and one Anatu, 46, first sighted the bandits and raised alarm. “The gunmen have camps in Rigeya and Shalope which are mountainous in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says it is expecting 30 ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods from Dec. 20 to Jan. 8. The NPA made this known in its publication, `Shipping Position’, a copy of which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Monday. According to it, the ships are expected to arrive at the Lagos Ports Complex.
