The Ogun House of Assembly on Monday screened 17 commissioner-nominees out of 18 sent before it for confirmation by Gov. Dapo Abiodun. The screening of the nominees, which held inside one of the committee rooms of the assembly complex in Abeokuta, was presided over by the Speaker, Olakunle Oluomo. The Edo Government has sealed some offices at the University of Benin, including the Office of the Vice Chancellor, over alleged tax evasion. The Electricity Consumer Protection Forum on Monday opposed the request by power Generation Companies (Gencos) and Distribution Companies (DisCos) for N1.2 trillion bailout from the Federal Government (FG). The Ekiti State House of Assembly on Monday, passed the state N124.724billion Appropriation Bill for 2020. This followed the adoption of the report of the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation at plenary.
