Minimum Wage: Ogun workers threaten strike
Organized labour in Ogun on Monday threatened to begin a two-day warning strike if its demand for a negotiation committee on the minimum wage was not met by the state government. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the Joint Negotiating Council (JNC) issued the threat on Monday in a statement. AFEX Commodities Exchange Ltd (AFEX), a leading market commodity exchange in Nigeria has secured an investment for an undisclosed amount from Consonance Investment Managers.
