A 26-year-old security guard, Muraina Ridwan, was, on Friday in Lagos, arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly absconding with his employer’s N2.5 million valuables. Ridwan, who lives with his employer in Magodo, Lagos, is being tried for stealing, an offence he, however, denied committing. The Police Prosecutor, Insp. Adegoke Philip, told the court that the defendant committed the offence in March at his residence. The Comptroller General, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Muhammed Babandede, on Friday said the visa on arrival for holders of passports of African countries from January 2020 was to accelerate African Integration. The Oyo State Government has expressed its readiness to support the advocacy and enlightenment programmes of UNICEF to further educate the public on the activities of the body. The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami (SAN), has taken over the case against the #RevolutioNow protest convener, Omoyele Sowore, from the Department of State Services (DSS). The Chinese Embassy on Thursday donated educational materials worth 3 million naira to Government Secondary School (GSS) Garki, Abuja as part of its continuous support toward the advancement of education in Nigeria.
