The Nigerian Army has relocated some of its units and formations located at Yaba to Epe to pave way for the expansion of railway projects in Lagos State. The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) on Saturday inducted 586 new members as certified chartered practitioners in the field of taxation. Mrs Gladys Simplice, President of CITN, said at the 41st induction ceremony of the institute in Lagos that the exercise was a mechanism to grow the tax administration system of the country. An Non-Governmental Organization, Women Environmental Programme (WEP) has called for the inclusion of women in the planning and implementation of climate change-related actions. Mr John Baaki, Programme Coordinator of WEP made the call in Abakaliki on Saturday at a capacity building workshop for women, gender-based organisations and stakeholders in the environment sector. The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), has condemned the suspension of 10 members of the union by the management of Federal Polytechnic, Bida. Mr Usman Dutse, ASUP National President in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Lagos, said that union officials should not be victimized unnecessarily. The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, Mr. Allen Ifechukwu Athan Onyema, has been indicted by the United States government for bank fraud and money laundering.
