One dies, 3 injured in Ogun accident
The Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), on Friday, said that one person died while three others sustained various degrees of injuries in a road accident on Idiroko Road, Ogun Sango-Ota Area Commander of TRACE, Adekunle Ajibade, made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ota, Ogun. The Nigerian Navy on Friday in Lagos handed over 35 bags of rice and five gallons of vegetable oil smuggled into the country to the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS). The Naval Commander, Forward Operating Base (FOB), Capt. Tamuno Senibo, handed over the smuggled items at the base in Badagry, Lagos State. Oil prices held near two-month highs on Friday and were set for a third consecutive week of gains, boosted by expectations of an extension to OPEC+ production cuts although doubts over U.S. and China trade talks capped gains. The Appeal Court sitting in Sokoto on Friday upheld the election of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal as duly elected. The four-man panel in a unanimous decision upheld Tambuwal’s election after dismissing the appeal filed by the Appellant and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto for lacking in merit. Justice Hussein Muktar who presided over the sitting that lasted over two hours delivered the Lead judgment which affirmed the decision of the lower court that the appellant had failed to prove the allegations of over-voting.
