The FCT Police Command has arrested a 27-year-old man, Mohammed Bello for allegedly claiming to the FCT Minister, Malam Muhammed Bello. Gov. David Umahi of Ebonyi on Wednesday sacked his Technical Assistant on Social Media, Mr Ndubisi Itumo, for allegedly misinforming the public. A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Kenneth Ugbala, said the termination was with immediate effect. “The termination is on the grounds of misconduct bordering on misinforming the public. “Consequently, Itumo is directed to handover all government property in his possession to the Principal Secretary to the Governor,” he said. The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has deployed 1,750 corps members to Gombe State for the 2019 batch ‘C’ stream I orientation course. The scheme’s Public Relations Officer in the state, Margaret Dakama, made this known in a statement on Wednesday in Gombe. She stated that documentation and registration of prospective corps members for the three weeks orientation programme would commence on Tuesday, Nov. 5 to midnight of Wednesday Nov. 6. The Programme Manager, National LPG Expansion Plan, Mr Dayo Adeshina, on Wednesday said the Federal Government was targeting the consumption of five million tons of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Known as cooking gas  by Nigerians in 2023. Adeshina said this at the 13th Edition of the Oil Trading and Logistics (OTL Africa Downstream) Conference in Lagos. Prof. Sulyman Abdulkareem, the Vice-Chancellor, University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) on Monday described the late Prof. Adeoye Adeniyi, former Vice-Chancellor of the university as an iconic figure who contributed to education in Nigeria. Abdulkareem was paying tribute to Adeniyi on Wednesday at the 281st Special Meeting of the Senate in honour of the fourth Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin.
