Mr Joseph Ari, the Director-General, Industrial Training Fund (ITF) on Wednesday said that the Federal Government would create 20 million direct and indirect jobs through different skills development programmes in the country. Ari disclosed this in Gombe during the graduation ceremony of 500 youth under the National Industrial Skills Development Programme (NISDP). The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has advised all 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates not yet enrolled for the National Identification Number (NIN) to visit any NIMC office nationwide and enrol. Mr Chuks Onyepunuka, the Information Technology/Identity Database Officer, NIMC gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Abuja. The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences (ICPC) has solicited the collaboration of the Nigerian Police to tackle corruption in the force. A Dutse Grade I Area Court, Abuja on Wednesday sentenced Adamson Sunday, an 18-year-old student to 12 months in prison over N350, 000 investment scam. The Presiding Officer, Mr Suleiman Mohammed, who tried and found Sunday guilty of cheating and impersonation, however, gave him an option to pay N150, 000 fine. Mohammed also ordered the convict to pay N350, 000 to the complainant within a period of six months. The Edo Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has impounded no fewer than 60 tricycles for non-possession of number plates and licenses.
