The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says over 100,000 candidates who met admission requirements have so far been offered placements into Nigerian universities for the 2019/2020 academic session. Dr Fabian Benjamin, Spokesman for JAMB, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Lagos that the board hoped to utilise 80 to 90 per cent of the available spaces for this year’s admission. National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has issued a notice to four communities in Imo to relocate to safer sites over a possible flooding which it said might occur any moment from now. The four communities are: Eziorsu, Afiaofu, Orsuobodo and Ossemotto all in Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta Local Government Area. The abducted mother of Samson Siasia, former Super Eagles Coach, Mrs Beauty Ogere Siasia has been released by her abductors, Bayelsa State Police Command says. Mrs Siasia was kidnapped on July 15 by heavily armed gunmen in her Odoni country home Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa state.
