Makinde appoints UI Don as Economic Adviser
IBADAN – Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of a seasoned Economist from the Department of Economics, University of Ibadan, Dr. Musibau Adetunji Babatunde, as his Chief Economic Adviser. NYSC Arrests 65 Fake Graduates
In a statement made available to newsmen by NYSC, the defaulting corps members, were caught in orientation camps across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, and have since been handed over to the police for “further investigation and possible prosecution.” A few weeks ago, it was reported that about 6 persons were nabbed in Katsina for presenting fake certificates.

An FCT High Court Maitama on Tuesday fixed Oct. 16 for ruling on the admissibility of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) documents in the trial of Babachair Lawal, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF). The Minister of Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi, says 10 more coaches will be provided by November to address the upsurge of passengers at railway stations across the country. Amaechi told News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday that the additional coaches would solve the problem of high demand for the services. A Mental Health Nurse, Mrs Ladipo Clegg, has urged Federal Government to formulate policies that would address economic challenges and reduce suicide incidences in Nigeria. The ECOWAS Commission alongside member states and the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) on Tuesday converged in Abuja to review action plan for the effective implementation of the International Humanitarian Law across West Africa. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the review was a follow up to the new International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Plan of Action 2019 to 2023 which was validated by member states in 2018.
