Justice Sylvester Ngwuta who was technically suspended from the bench of the Supreme Court on Monday resumes official duties. Naija News recalls that Ngwuta and some judges had their houses raided by the operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS) in August 2016. Ngwuta was later charged with money laundering before the Federal High Court in Abuja, and with assets declaration breaches before the Code of Conduct Tribunal. MASSOB Blames Buhari For Maltreating Osinbajo The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has said the cabal in Aso Rock is embarrassing and frustrating Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. Man Jailed for Robbing Policeman
An Oredo Magistrate Court has sentenced an 18-year old boy, Chetamu Ominyi, to five months imprisonment for assaulting and stealing the cell phone of a policeman, Sergeant Danguma Abdul. Chetamu was said to have committed the offence on September 18, 2019 at Adesuwa Junction off Mission Road, Benin City. Sergeant Abdul was going to have lunch when he was attacked by Chetamu and his gang now at large. A three-count charge of conspiracy, stealing and assault was preferred against Chetamu. Innocent soul was cut short by rabid Nigeria Customs men at Oyo town this evening. This saddened incident happened around 6:30pm, sighting the men of the Nigeria Customs during a hot pursuit of a sienna bus allegedly carrying rice. It was recorded that the customs officers were able to double-cross the vehicle after a heavy hot pursued in front of Bovas filling station. The governorship Election Petition tribunal for IMO sitting in Abuja on Saturday affirmed the election of Gov. Emeka Ihedioha of IMO.
