Enugu Rangers failed to make home advantage count as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Mauritania’s Nouadibhou in their CAF Confederation Cup Group A clash at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium on Sunday.
The visitors took the lead in the 23rd minute through Yassin El Welly.
Rangers equalized in the 68th minute with Ibrahim Olawoyin converting from the spot.
The Flying Antelopes remain in the third position in the group with two points from four games.
Salisu Yusuf’s charges will need to win their remaining two group games to have any chance of qualifying for the knockout stage of the competition.
Rangers will face Pyramids FC of Egypt away in their next game on Sunday, January 26.
In the other game in the group, Pyramids defeated Al Masry 2-0 at the June 30 Stadium, Cairo.
