Dakingari disclosed that a large consignment of drugs has been salvaged from the central medical store which was gutted by fire.

“The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, it raged for about four hours before brought under control through combined efforts of sympathizers including, Gov. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu,” he said.

Gov. Bagudu thanked the Good Samaritans who contributed to bringing the inferno under control and salvaged most of the drugs in the store.

The governor acknowledged that there was minimal damage to the stored items as a large chunk of the goods was retrieved.

According to the statement, other people that aided in quenching the fire include the Chief of Staff, Government House, Alhaji Suleiman Muhammad-Argungu and Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Babale Umar-Yauri.
