They say when one dies, he’s gone forever. But in reality some still lives on after death. This is the case of Alhaji Najeem Adewale Lasisi, he had dedicated his time and life to show that Nigerians can do better despite the negligence of Nigeria to invest more and more in his creativity.
It wouldn’t be a gainsaid word if we say he lives on, apart from leaving for us a virtuous Man (Dare Lasisi), he has also written his name with a golden pen Into the record of Nigeria through many of his stamps and winning home and abroad (He won top prize at United Nations postage stamps competition in New York in 1982)
Today and beyond we wouldn’t mourn for our dear grandfather, he had lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation. What else do we have to say? He is good in his ways.
Before I dropped my pen, I would say Prophet Muhammad had said when a man dies, all his deeds stops except three things: A flowing alms giving, knowledge he gave that people benefitted from it and children he left behind who pray for him. Alhaji Najeem surely would have one or two off this and we’re rest assured he would always enjoy the reward.
Finally, to family members and most especially my own boss Jagunmolu, kindly accept my sincere condolence. May Baba enjoy peace in his new home and may God uphold the family he left behind.
