By Tony Obiechina, Abuja

The Knights and Ladies of St Mulumba (KSM), Wuse Sub Council, Abuja at the weekend stormed Dobi village, a sleepy community in the Gwgwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to offer free medical services to the dwellers.
The group which was led by the Sub council’s Secretary, Dr Sebastian Obasi on behalf of the Grand Knight, Barr Greg Azubuike, embarked on the Medical Out reach to sensitize the rural dwellers on the need for healthy living.
According to Dr Rom Okekearu, the group’s Worthy Physician and leader of the medical committee, the outreach was the highpoint of its  Health Week for 2019/2020 which commenced  last Monday with prayers and visitations to the sick.
The villagers turned out in their numbers to take advantage of thefree medical services which included blood sugar, blood pressure and malaria parasites screenings, consultations, counseling as well as adminstration of drugs to the patients.
An elated Rev Father Paul Salami the Parish Priest of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Dobi who also doubles as the Chaplain of the Sub council, had assisted in mobilising the villagers to the venue of medical outreach.
While praying before the commencement of the exercise, he said the exercise was necessary in order to identify people who might have one health challenge or the other which may require further evaluation.
The priest commended the Knights and Ladies for embarking on medical outreach noting that the awareness would go a long way to improve the health status of the community.
Other members of the medical team who attended to the patients included, Dr Oliver Amugo, Dr Felix Orbih, Dr Anthonia Njepuome, Dr Kingsley Okafor and Lady Margret Ogunleye, Lady Arit Efretei, Lady Bose Alagoa, Lady Bridget Uzoama, Lady Ngozi Okekearu, Lady Christiana Atafo and Lady Martina Ajodo.
