Kogi: Gov Bello Looks Good For 2nd Term + Results From 16 LGAs

By Wole Oye Governor Yahaya Bello looks good to remain in office as Kogi state Governor for a second term going by the results of the governorship election held on Saturday officially released so far.

At the Mahmood Yakubu Hall in Lokoja, the declaration of the result is being held under tight security, with police armoured tanks and patrol vehicles deployed ‎around the INEC office.

As at the time of filling this report, results of #Kogidecides2019 from 16 local governments have been announced under the supervision of the Returning Officer, Prof Ibrahim Umar, Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

Meanwhile, the results of the rerun election into the Kogi West Senatorial District will also be declared.

It is a straight fight between Senator Dino Melaye and a former NUJ National President, Senator Smart Adeyemi.

Below are the results of 16 out of 21 LGAs declared so far showing Governor Bello of the APC leading the PDP governorship candidate, Wada by wide margin:
