The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday said the country has recorded the first death from COVID-19. NCDC made this known through its verified Twitter handle @NCDCgov. It said the individual was a 67-year-old male who had returned to Nigeria following a medical treatment in the United Kingdom. “He had underlying medical conditions, such as multiple myeloma and diabetes, and was undergoing chemotherapy,” NCDC said. The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) on Monday lauded the Federal Government for lifting the ban placed on the supply of petroleum products to border communities across the country. The Lagos State Police Command on Monday said that three pastors were arrested but later released on Sunday for allegedly conducting church services in deviance to the Lagos State Government {LASG}’s order. The Borno Government has banned visitors from entering all Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps for four weeks, as part of measures to contain the CoronaVirus COVID-19 pandemic. The Chairperson of the State Emergency Management Agency(SEMA), Hajiya Yabawa Kolo, announced the ban during a meeting with 51 camp managers on Monday in Maiduguri.
