Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the deposed Emir of Kano has been moved from Loko in Nasarawa state to an undisclosed location. He was moved to a house in Loko in the early hours of today (Tuesday) after being dethroned by the Kano State Executive Council on Monday. A live report monitored on TVC NEWS says a police helicopter conveyed him out of Loko to another location amidst tight security. Prompt News reports that following his dethronement, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has been appointed as the new Emir of Kano by the state government.
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) says it plans to organize a conference aimed at attracting local and international investors into Nigeria’s aviation industry. The Gombe State Sports Commission on Tuesday said it has intensified preparations for its athletes ahead of the 20th National Sports Festival (NSF) in Benin from March 22 to April 1. The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Enugu State on Tuesday said it had trained no fewer than 510 unemployed graduates on different skills.
