Two men, Habibulahi Dogo and John Ezra, on Tuesday appeared in a Chief Magistrates’ Court, Ilorin, for allegedly stealing battery. Dogo, 25 and Ezra, 24, whose addresses were not provided, are facing a three-count charge of conspiracy, stealing and receiving stolen property, to which they pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor, Insp. Zaccheus Folorunsho, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on Jan. 26, in Ilorin. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has announced March 14, 2020, as the date for the by-election into the House of Assembly seat in Patigi Constituency of Kwara. INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), in Kwara, Malam Garba Attahiru-Madami, disclosed this on Tuesday when he received executives of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), led by its Chairman, Prince Adebayo Akadi in his office. The Adamawa Government says it uncovered 881 ghost pensioners on its payroll in December 2019. Mr Joab Sahma, the Permanent Secretary of the board disclosed this in Yola in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday.
