The Police in Ekiti State says it has set in motion the process of recruiting 800 Special Constables that will work with the conventional police to tackle the rising level of insecurity in the country. No fewer than 102, 761 malnourished children have received treatment in Kebbi State between 2015 and 2019, the State Nutrition Officer, Mrs Beatrice Kwere has said. Kwere told newsmen in Birnin Kebbi, on Sunday, that 77, 757 malnourished children were treated between 2015 and 2017 while 25, 004 were treated between 2018 and 2019, respectively. At least seven persons were injured and property worth millions of naira were destroyed on Sunday after a cooking gas cylinder exploded and kindled a fire at No. 23, Emmanuel Church road, Inland Town Onitsha.
