Faculty of Clinical Sciences, University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) trained 150 undergraduate students of the institution on the best way to render first aid treatment to trauma patients in emergency situations. The training, which took place on Monday at the university was tagged “First Responder Basic Trauma Training”, aimed at building a pool of first respondents to injury situation. Detectives from Bariga police station in Lagos have arrested a 23-year-old Olowolayemo Sodiq, a notorious traffic robbery suspect and alleged cult leader, who had been on wanted list. A suspected mentally-deranged man in Surulere, Lagos, on Sunday, set a resident of the area ablaze after pouring petrol on him. The man, known in the area as Badejo Adewale, was said to have carried out the act on one Bolatito Kadara of 13, Aiyeleto Street, Surulere. The market capitalization of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) rose N2.22 trillion or 17.10 per cent in seven trading sessions with the market maintaining upward trend since the beginning of 2020. Gov. Samuel Ortom of Benue has directed the State Examination Board to immediately revert to the old registration fee of N4,500 for the MOCK Senior School Certificate Examination in the state. The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC), has launched a community empowerment programme meant to ensure 100 per cent monthly collection of bills in communities within the South-East. The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), says plans are ongoing to grant Niger Delta Petroleum Resources Ltd. (NDPR) licence to operate its 1000 barrel per day Modular refinery that will be inaugurated soon. NDPR is a subsidiary of Niger Delta Exploration & Production Plc. (NDEP).
