AKURE – Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, on Sunday, approved the appointment of Messrs Dapo Adepoju, Adebiyi Mayowa and Olufunmi Felix as his Special Assistants on Youth Mobilisation. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won all the 21 local government council chairmanship position in the Saturday’s LG elections in Adamawa. Mr. Isa Shetima, chairman, Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC), who declared the results on Sunday in Yola, said the result of councilors for the 226 wards had been announced at the local government levels. The Department of State Services (DSS) says circulation of a video clip on an attempt to rearrest Omoyele Sowore, the convener of the #RevolutionNow protest in a courtroom was mischief. Lagos State House of Assembly says it will not repeal the state’s pension law permitting former governors and other public office holders to receive juicy pensions from state coffers. Mr Tunde Braimoh, Chairman, House Committee on Information and Strategy, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday that Lagos Assembly would not go the way of the Zamfara Assembly which recently repealed pension law for its former governors. The Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) has established and operationalised Emergency Communication Centres (ECC) across 18 States of the country including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), as a measure towards tackling the emerging security challenges. A coalition of Niger Delta activists has described the campaign to invalidate the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and sack the Senate committee on Niger Delta as a calculated attempt to perpetuate the illegality at the commission.
