Gov. Dapo Abiodun of Ogun has appointed Mrs Ajibola Chokor as the new Head of Service in the state. Measles infected nearly 10 million people in 2018 and killed 140,000, mostly children, as devastating outbreaks of the viral disease hit every region of the world, the World Health Organisation (WHO) said on Thursday. WHO’s Director-General, Tedros Ghebreysus, said in London that said the figures were “an outrage”. Chief Ademola Odunade, the President of a Mapo Customary Court in Ibadan, on Friday dissolved the 11-year-old marriage between one Kazeem Amzat and wife, Adijat, over sex starvation and adulterous lifestyle. Mr Alfred Adewumi, the new National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Commander in Kogi, says the agency will collaborate with sister security agencies and the state government to rid the state of illicit drugs. CEC Africa Investments Limited (CECA), a major shareholder of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has blamed its partner, Xerxes Global Investment Limited for breaching a $41 million funding agreement for acquiring the DisCo in 2013.
