EFCC operatives of Uyo Zonal Office in a joint operation with some of the Commission’s operatives from Abuja, stormed a building described as ‘YAHOO ACADEMY’, on Thursday, November 28th. The building is allegedly used solely for the training of youngsters in various aspects of cyber criminality. The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Smart Adeyemi, has won the Kogi West senatorial district election. The Returning Officer of the election, Professor Olajide Lawal, announced this on Saturday at the collation centre in Kogi State. According to him, Senator Adeyemi polled a total of 88,373 votes to beat Senator Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 62,133 votes. Governments and other stakeholders in society have been urged to invest more in education, as it remained the only way to end entrenched poverty in any society. President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan on Saturday flagged off free mass vaccination for domestic animals across his Yobe North Senatorial District. The ceremony held in Gashua, his native home, in Yobe state was witnessed by traditional rulers, state government officials, lawmakers, political party leaders and representatives of various Fulani groups. Abducted Adamawa DPO regains freedom
The Adamawa Police Command has confirmed the rescue of DSP Ahijo Muhammad, DPO of Mubi Division, who was kidnapped a fortnight ago by unknown persons. DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, the Command’s Spokesman, announced the development to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Yola. Nguroje explained that Muhammad was rescued on Saturday evening by Police Operation Puff Ader/Operation Farauta in Mubi. “DSP Ahijo Muhammad, DPO Mubi North, was rescued from the hands of his abductors unharmed and healthy. ” The Command Anti Kidnap Unit is now investigating the matter with a view to arresting the fled kidnappers,” Nguroje said.…
Globe Motors Holdings (Nigeria) Limited has said it is an accredited and authorized distributor of Toyota vehicles in Nigeria. This is a swift reaction to a publication by Toyota Nigeria Limited (TNL) that it had severed distribution links with Globe Motors, which stated that it never had that type of relationship with TNL in the first instance to warrant a breakup. The Oyeneyin family of Ondo town has announced the transition of its matriarch, Mama Felicia Monisade Oyeneyin. Aged 83, Mama Oyeneyin passed on in Lagos in the early hours of Friday, November 29, 2019.
