Imo Command of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) says the command will soon begin issuance of the new polycarbonate passports. Mr David Ringshum, the Comptroller of Immigration in the state, Mr said this when some workers of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) paid him a courtesy call at the command in Owerri. Gov. Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom, has warned corps members to avoid actions that could expose them to security risks during their Community Development Service (CDS). Emmanuel made this disclosure at the closing ceremony of the 2019 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 orientation course for corps members deployed to the state at the NYSC permanent camp, Ikot Itie Udung, Nsit Atai on Monday. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has approved the promotion of 2,788 of its personnel and redeployed 336 others. Head of Public Affairs, (NDLEA) Mr Jonah Achema, disclosed this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Abuja. Achema said that the promotion exercise as well as the redeployment cut across both Narcotic Agents and Narcotic Officer Cadres. Mr Godwin Eohoi, the Registrar, Institute of Finance and Control of Nigeria has advised the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) to ensure its decision will propel sustainable growth of Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The Nigerian Senate may amend the proposed death penalty clause in the Hate Speech Bill before it. Sen. Sabi Abdullahi, who is the sponsor of the bill, made this known in a statement on Sunday in Abuja.
