Workers in Osun say they will join the nationwide strike called by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) if the Federal Government and labour failed to reach agreement on consequential adjustment on the wage increase. The ECOWAS Court of Justice has ordered the Federal Republic of Nigeria to pay N10 million compensation for the violation of right to work to Pte. Barnabas Eli. The judgment is contained in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Monday. It said that Eli was dismissed from the Army for the loss of his rifle in 2012 for which he was sentenced to two years imprisonment by a court martial without recourse to the confirming authority before enforcement. n 18-year-old, Mizanbilu Yusuf, has been arrested by the Niger State Police Command for allegedly raping a nine-year-old girl. The suspect confessed to have raped a number of minors in his area in Kafin Koro community in Paikoro local government area of Niger state.
