The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) said on Friday that it arrested 42 suspected drug offenders in Oyo State between July and September. Mrs Mutiat Okuwobi, the Public Relations Officer of the NDLEA in the state, made this known in a statement in Ibadan. A Federal High Court in Ibadan, on Friday ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to produce the 106 boxes, containing the N900 million allegedly stolen by two workers of Zenith bank PLC. NAN reports that the EFCC charged Bolade Ajuwan and Samuel Ogbiede alongside six Central Bank officials. Three men, Bashiru Musa, 38, Umaru Ababakar, 38, and Tomiwa Charles, 20, on Friday appeared before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing a jewellery worth N1.1 million. A Chief Magistrates’ court sitting in Ilorin on Friday ordered that a housewife , who allegedly faked their own kidnap, be remanded in a correctional centre. The police arraigned Odunayo Olaniyi, Abdulrauf Folorunso, and Afolabi Adesina with three counts of self kidnap, false representation and for asking for ransom.
