Electricity Generation Companies (GenCos), comprising gas-fired and hydro stations, said they released an average of 3,280 megawatts/hour of electricity into the national grid on Thursday. This is contained in a daily energy report by the Advisory Power Team, office of the Vice President, a copy which was obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Thursday. Oyo State government has decried loss of revenue to illegal mining and failure by registered mining companies to pay tax and other dues to the coffers of the state. A Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday admitted Omoleye Sowore, Convener of the #RevolutionNow movement, to bail in the sum of N150m. News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Sowore was charged to court by the Federal Government on seven counts charges of treasonable felony, cyberstalking and money laundering. Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu also ordered Sowore to produce two sureties in like sum. The judge ordered that the sureties must be residents of Abuja with landed properties in Abuja worth the bail sum.
