Gunmen have abducted six female students and two staff of Engravers College, a boarding secondary school near Kaduna. The gunmen were reported to have attacked the school located at Kakau Daji village in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State at about 3:10am on Thursday. Police spokesman in the state, DSP Yakubu Sabo, who confirmed the incident in a press statement, said for now, the whereabout of the abducted victims was unknown. An auto mechanic, Friday Udeh, was on Thursday charged before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly defrauding his client of N50,000. Udeh, 40, who resides at No. 15, Sunday Akorajo St., Ikorodu, near Lagos, is facing charges of obtaining by false pretences, stealing and damages. A total of 21 ships carrying various products are at Apapa and Tin-Can Island Ports waiting to berth, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said in its daily publication on Thursday in Lagos. It said that 10 of the vessels contained petrol, while the remaining 11 would berth with diesel, container and general cargo.
